As the home page suggested something new has been released in the last 6 months for reversing the aging process that both women and men have complained to me about for 20 years. I have actively worked in Dermatology for many years and have been trained to use chemical peels, Botox and IPL (laser) to reverse the effects of aging. I have never offered any of these services or products to my patients before because of the cost, difficulty following the schedule of therapy, the risk involved, or the destructive nature of the treatments. I am now offering these newest of therapies. I have begun to purchase the TNS recovery complex and the associated products to supply patients interested in this type of treatment. As this is considered cosmetic therapy no insurance will cover the cost of the therapy. However many patients use a variety of treaments already and they inform me that the cost of this over the counter therapies are not insignificant. I have never believed much in over the counter therapy as it has not been studied and reviewed by a peer reviewed dermatologic panel or journal. This system has. All ages, all races, all sexes, all nationalities, all areas of the skin, and all people with aging of the skin are able to use these products. The only thing you have to do differently then your doing today is to avoid the sun in treatment areas. The Program The following steps are suggested. If you dont use some of the products then use what your currently using but make sure it is hypoallergenic and mild without fragrances. In the morning Step One Cleanse the face with Facial Cleanser Step Two With a cotton ball, apply Rejuvenative Toner to the entire face Step Three Apply an even amount of TNS Recovery Complex to the areas of the face with aging. We suggest about a blueberry amount dabbed on to the forehead, temple area and under the eyes and the nasal labial folds and around mouth if needed. Step Four Apply Vitamin C Complex to the same areas Step Five Apply and even layer of Dermal Repair Cream to moisturize and follow that with a sun protecting cream such as Daily Sun Protection for Face (SPF 20) In the evening Step One Cleanse the face with Facial Cleanser Step Two With a cotton ball, apply Rejuvenative Toner to the entire face Step Three Apply an even amount of TNS Recovery Complex to the areas of the face with aging. Step Four Apply Retinol Complex to the same areas Step Five Apply and even layer of Dermal Repair Cream to moisturize l*SkinMedica Products available by request Special Skin Care Needs Cleansers Facial Cleanser Sensitive Skin Cleanser Toners Rejuvenative Toner Acne Toner Moisturizers Dermal Repair Rejuvenative Moisturizer Ultra Sheer Moisturizer 15% AHA/BHA Face Cream TNS Recovery Body Lotion Adjunct Products Exfoliant Daily Sun Protection SPF 20 Uplifting Eye Serum Daily Lip Rejuvenator SPF 15 Science The skin cells called fibroblasts proliferate and grow within the scaffold of the skin. They secrete human dermal collagen, fibronectin, glycosaminoglycans, growth factors, and other proteins, which embed themselves in a self-produced dermal matrix. The result is metabolically active skin tissue with the structure of newborn skin. With aging and after UV damage this process is weakened. The fibroblast secretes less and is unable to keep the skin new. This is where science can step in. Individual synthetic growth factors can be generated by recombinant DNA technology. Growth factors stimulate cellular proliferation, chemotaxis, angiogenesis, protein expression, and enzyme production, and may act on adjacent cells in a paracrine function, on cells that produce growth factors in an autocrine function, or within the cell in an intercrine function. Growth factors activate cells within the wound to send signals to wound target cells, which initiate tissue repair. Growth factors applied topically to wounds can accelerate healing by stimulating granulation tissue formation and enhancing epithelialization. Single or isolated growth factors may be effective in healing diabetic ulcers, especially when they influence many different types of cells, such as platelet-derived growth factor. In simple terms, we can bypass the fibroblast and directly apply the growth factors and cell signals needed to keep skin young. That is what we are attempting to do.
